Hawkin’s Room

This is a charming twin bedded en-suite room situated at the rear in the oldest part of the building (over 400 years old). The thickness of the walls along with slightly sloping ceiling reflects this along with all the character that goes with old buildings.

Sir Christopher Hawkins was the founder of Pentewan harbour and the main building was once a tavern called ‘The Hawkins Arms’. It seemed fitting to name one of our rooms (along with one of our cats) Hawkins.

The en-suite has a double sized shower, toilet and sink along with a porthole for light and ventilation.

Situated on the first floor landing ‘The Hawkins’ room has a television, refreshment making facilities, a bed side light for each bed, radio clock alarm, central light controlled from the wall, heated towel rail in the en-suite and a large (although not completely full length) mirror, hairdryer and a wall mounted panel heater controlled by the occupants of the room.

Access statement

15 upward stair steps with hand rail onto first floor landing.
