| Situated in the centre of Pentewan, overlooking the village square ‘The Cove’ is Pentewan’s premier bed and breakfast provider, although it is more like a small family run hotel. Guests have their own lounge area with leather settees to relax into and enjoy a drink or read a book. |
| The property dates from the 17th century and has been extended and modernised over the decades but still retains its character and charm. In the past it was originally a couple of cottages then the village Pub, (the Hawkins Arms) a Post office, Chandlers, Restaurant, and now a Café/Guest house. We have a no smoking policy inside ‘The Cove’ although the outside seating area is a pleasant place to enjoy ‘a smoke’ to start or end the day, with an awning that can be unwound to provide cover if the weather is inclement or the sun too strong. |
All rooms at ‘The Cove’ are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities in every room along with a TV/video player and are non-smoking.
Accommodation at the Cove
| The Pink Room |
With views over the village square the Pink room is very popular with its double and single bed combination, meaning the room can be used as either a double, twin or family room as well as having a shower en-suite and
walk-in wardrobe. Guests can relax with a morning drink and enjoy the sun’s ray’s entering the village. |
| The Green Room |
This Green room is a double room although we do allow single occupancy and again has views over the village square, with walk-in wardrobe and en-suit shower room. |
| The Blue Room |
Very popular with families, the Blue room has a double bed along with a single pullout bed which is ideal for the younger member of the family. The room also has its own shower en-suite and drink making facilities. Separate, but close by, is a single room for use in conjunction with the Blue room by another family member. This room has its own w.c. washbasin and drink making facilities. |
| The Stable |
The Stable room is separate from the main building but only a short walk away. With its own entrance, the Stable has a double bed, shower en-suite, T.V. drink making facilities along with a futon bed which can be used by another family member. As the stable is situated on the ground floor it can be suitable for those with a walking disability. This room is also popular with guests that cannot bare to be parted from their four legged friends with many a guest bringing a (well behaved only) family pet to stay as well! (although dogs are not allowed on the beach during the Summer there are a couple of good walks around the back of the village or along the cycle trail, for that morning/evening exercise). |

Breakfast at the Cove
No day gets off to a better start than by enjoying a Cove breakfast.
In the morning the tables are set and the bar is laid out with a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt and fruit juice for guests to help themselves. At the same time you will be asked if you would like tea or coffee to drink along with a cooked breakfast that can consist of Full English ( sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast), scrambled egg, beans on toast, bacon butties etc. Our bacon, sausages and eggs are all from the local area. Breakfast is served between 8.30am and 9.00am. If guests require an early start arrangements can be made for a lighter breakfast. |
